How to get a Mallorca 312 entry for 2027

There are five ways into the Mallorca 312 and only one of them is cheap. Entries for 2027 open on 6 October 2026 — the organiser posted the date on its own front page — and in 2025 the 8,500 places were gone in seconds. This page is about what to do about that, starting with the day you need to be watching from, which is earlier than it sounds.

Route one: the public on-sale

This is the only route at face value, and the only one where being prepared changes the outcome.

How we got this Read off the rows rather than retyped beside them: the day-of-month range, the count of Tuesdays and the count of rows stating 11:00 are all computed from the same records the table renders, and checked against the calendar by the same code. One number in that table is worth a warning. Ahead of the 2025 on-sale two outlets announced 8,000 places — «habrá 8.000 plazas disponibles» in Ciclismo a Fondo on 9 September 2024, "for 8,000 riders" in Gran Fondo Guide on 1 October 2024. Ultima Hora reported the following day that the race had sold out «con 8.500 dorsales en liza», and 8,500 is the cap the organiser publishes for 2027.

We are not going to reconcile those two figures for you, because the three pages do not say whether the cap was raised between the announcement and the opening or whether the previews simply repeated the previous year’s number. What it means on the day is the useful half: the figure in the news is not necessarily the figure at the checkout, and the organiser’s own front page is the one that counts.

What the record supports. Entries have opened between 4 and 8 October for 4 consecutive editions, 3 of them on a Tuesday, and every edition that states a clock time opened at 11:00 Mallorca time (CEST, UTC+2 — Spain is still on summer time in early October). The organiser has never published this as a rule, so treat it as a window to be watching, not a date to diarise.

What the record now says. Entries for the 2027 edition open on 6 October 2026. The organiser publishes the date in its own site header — "General registrations: October 6" in the English edition, «Inscripcions generals: 6 d'octubre» in the Catalan — beside the race date of 24 April 2027. It does not publish a time of day.

What the organiser still does not give is the hour, and the hour is what decides whether a rider is at their keyboard: in 2025 the 8,500 places went in seconds, and every previous on-sale that named a time opened at 11:00 Mallorca time. How much warning that hour has given before is set out beside this date, with the day to start watching from.

The published date fits the pattern this site had been predicting from: 4 previous on-sales between 4 and 8 October, and 6 October 2026 is the 4th of them to fall on a Tuesday.

How we got this The day-of-month range and the Tuesday count are read off the rows by the same code that renders them. The new date is checked against the calendar the same way. The hour is the part still missing, and the hour is the part that decides it. Every edition that has ever named a clock time opened at 11:00 Mallorca time. When that hour became public, it came anywhere from 29 days ahead of the on-sale to a single day — a month of warning and a day of warning have both happened, and both named the hour.

Route two: the official marketplace

The organiser runs its own resale channel, and it is the only legitimate one — entries are otherwise strictly personal and non-transferable, so a bib bought privately is a bib you cannot ride on.

The percentage falls on the seller, not the buyer: article 10 refunds the departing rider "except for the management fees".

The window ran 22 October to 31 March on the 2026 terms. Read the fee carefully, because it is easy to get backwards: it is not charged to you as the buyer. Article 10 of the conditions refunds the original rider “except for the management fees” — so the 20% / 30% / 40% is taken out of what the seller gets back, and it doubles the longer they leave it. As the buyer you pay the entry price.

What that schedule tells you is where the supply is. A rider selling in March forfeits 40% of the €94.99 registration fee instead of 20%, so anyone who knows early has a reason to sell early. The window opens on 22 October, two weeks after the on-sale lands — which is when the people who bought a place in the scramble and cannot use it start giving it back.

Route three: the waiting list

After the 2024 sell-out the organiser opened a waiting list alongside the marketplace, allocating places released by cancellations. It costs nothing to join and it is the only free fallback, but it depends entirely on other people withdrawing.

Route four: a tour-operator package

Operators hold their own allocation of guaranteed entries. This is the reliable route, and the expensive one: you are buying certainty in a market where certainty is the scarce thing.

Prices are what each site showed on the check date and are not quotes. This is the fastest-moving record in the cluster and it is worth knowing by how much: six of these eight Sportive Breaks figures changed between 6 and 24 August 2026 — eighteen days. Two of them are straight rises on the same product (VIP entry £849 to £999, the 5* hotel £849 to £1,049); the rest also changed what they are quoting, so they cannot be read as rises at all — the Hotel Condesa line was a one-night package and is now a per-person sharing rate, and transfers were quoted return and are now per person. That is the general shape of an operator price page and the reason none of these is a quote. Sportive Breaks also heads the page "Price From £279" while the cheapest room on the page itself is £399, so treat any "from" figure as an invitation to get a quote rather than a price.

Read both rows carefully, because neither says quite what a quick look suggests. Love Velo describes itself as the official travel package operator of the last decade, and also says its 2027 packages depend on being selected again as an operator — operator status is granted annually, so a package advertised in August 2026 for April 2027 is a pre-registration, not a confirmed entry. Sportive Breaks does say the entry itself is guaranteed and prices it at £190, on a page headed for 24 April 2027 with 2027 hotel packages — but the entry line still reads “a guaranteed entry for 2026 Mallorca 312”. We think that is stale copy rather than a stale product; we are not willing to assert it for you. Ask them to confirm the year in writing before you pay.

Route five: the package the organiser links to itself

This is the one route on this page you can act on today, and it is the one we had missed. Beside the general registration link, the organiser’s own front page carries a second one — “Registration + accommodation” in the English edition, «Inscripció + allotjament» in the Catalan — and each points at Scio Pro Cycling. The Catalan link goes to that operator’s Spanish page and the English link to its English one, which is what makes it the organiser’s routing rather than a coincidence of search.

The Spanish page states the inclusion most precisely — «El precio mostrado en cada paquete ya incluye al menos una inscripción». The eleven hotels were counted from the page’s own list on 27 August 2026 — ten branded GRUPOTEL and The Sea Hotel by GRUPOTEL — and re-counted from the same list on 15 September 2026, unchanged.

All 11 of the hotels are Grupotel’s — the same chain the organiser’s own services page already sends riders to.

Read what these pages do not say as carefully as what they do. No price appears on either of them, so the cost of this route is something you have to ask for. The cap on entries is stated without a number, in the operator’s own words: "Accommodation places are limited and there’s a cap on the number of registration available". And a package that includes a registration is not the same promise as a registration that is guaranteed to you — neither page makes the second promise, and it is the one worth getting in writing before you pay. What is true, and unusual, is that this route is open six weeks before anybody else can enter at all.

The gap between the cheapest and the most certain route is smaller than it looks. A face-value entry on the 2026 terms was €174.99 all in. A guaranteed entry through an operator was £190 — before accommodation. The two are in different currencies and the gap moves with the exchange rate, so we are not going to hand you a percentage; the point is that certainty here costs a premium on the entry, not a multiple of it. Set against a plane ticket and a week’s hotel, the difference between the two routes in is close to noise — which is the real argument for not treating the October on-sale as your only plan.

Three things in that table catch foreign riders out. The €50 jersey is compulsory, not an upsell. The €15 insurance is not waived by a federation licence issued outside Spain, nor by another Spanish federation’s licence — only a current RFEC licence exempts you. And the €15 platform fee is never refunded: you may withdraw within 14 calendar days of registering and get the registration fee back to the original card. The administration fee and the jersey are not refunded.

What to do between now and October

Decide the distance before the on-sale, not during it. The 312, 226 and 167 share the same mountains — the route page has all three measured, and the 226 keeps 90% of the climbing while cutting 83 km of flat interior.
The watch is already open — it opened on 7 September 2026, not in October. The hour has been published as much as 29 days ahead of an on-sale, and once with only a day to spare — so there is no point in the calendar at which starting later is safe.
Have the payment method ready on the day. In 2025 the places went in seconds.
If you miss it, do not buy a bib privately. The marketplace is the only transfer channel the organiser recognises; anything else is a bib you cannot start on.
Book the accommodation independently of the entry. Race weekend fills Platja de Muro, and a refundable room near the start is worth holding while your entry is still uncertain.
