How to get a Mallorca 312 entry for 2027

There are four ways into the Mallorca 312 and only one of them is cheap. The public on-sale for the 2027 edition has not been announced; on the pattern of the last four years it lands in the first week of October 2026, and in 2025 the 8,500 places were gone in seconds. This page is about what to do about that.

Route one: the public on-sale

This is the only route at face value, and the only one where being prepared changes the outcome.

What the record supports. Entries have opened between 5 and 8 October for four consecutive editions, and the two most recent both opened on a Tuesday at 11:00 Mallorca time (CEST, UTC+2 — Spain is still on summer time in early October). The organiser has never published this as a rule, so treat it as a window to be watching, not a date to diarise.

What the record does not support. Anyone telling you the exact 2027 date and time today is guessing. The organiser announced the 2026 on-sale roughly five days ahead, on 2 October 2025. Expect the same: a short announcement window, then a queue.

Route two: the official marketplace

The organiser runs its own resale channel, and it is the only legitimate one — entries are otherwise strictly personal and non-transferable, so a bib bought privately is a bib you cannot ride on.

The window ran 22 October to 31 March on the 2026 terms. Read the fee carefully, because it is easy to get backwards: it is not charged to you as the buyer. Article 10 of the conditions refunds the original rider “except for the management fees” — so the 20% / 30% / 40% is taken out of what the seller gets back, and it doubles the longer they leave it. As the buyer you pay the entry price.

What that schedule tells you is where the supply is. A rider selling in March forfeits 40% of the €94.99 registration fee instead of 20%, so anyone who knows early has a reason to sell early. The window opens on 22 October, two weeks after the on-sale lands — which is when the people who bought a place in the scramble and cannot use it start giving it back.

Route three: the waiting list

After the 2024 sell-out the organiser opened a waiting list alongside the marketplace, allocating places released by cancellations. It costs nothing to join and it is the only free fallback, but it depends entirely on other people withdrawing.

Route four: a tour-operator package

Operators hold their own allocation of guaranteed entries. This is the reliable route, and the expensive one: you are buying certainty in a market where certainty is the scarce thing.

Read both rows carefully, because neither says quite what a quick look suggests. Love Velo describes itself as the official travel package operator of the last decade, and also says its 2027 packages depend on being selected again as an operator — operator status is granted annually, so a package advertised in August 2026 for April 2027 is a pre-registration, not a confirmed entry. Sportive Breaks does say the entry itself is guaranteed and prices it at £190, on a page headed for 24 April 2027 with 2027 hotel packages — but the entry line still reads “a guaranteed entry for 2026 Mallorca 312”. We think that is stale copy rather than a stale product; we are not willing to assert it for you. Ask them to confirm the year in writing before you pay.

The four routes, side by side

The gap between the cheapest and the most certain route is smaller than it looks. A face-value entry on the 2026 terms was €174.99 all in. A guaranteed entry through an operator was £190 — before accommodation. The two are in different currencies and the gap moves with the exchange rate, so we are not going to hand you a percentage; the point is that certainty here costs a premium on the entry, not a multiple of it. Set against a plane ticket and a week’s hotel, the difference between the two routes in is close to noise — which is the real argument for not treating the October on-sale as your only plan.

What the entry itself costs, either way

Three things in that table catch foreign riders out. The €50 jersey is compulsory, not an upsell. The €15 insurance is not waived by a federation licence issued outside Spain, nor by another Spanish federation’s licence — only a current RFEC licence exempts you. And the €15 platform fee is never refunded: you may withdraw within 14 calendar days of registering and get the registration fee back to the original card. The administration fee and the jersey are not refunded.

What to do between now and October

1. Decide the distance before the on-sale, not during it. The 312, 226 and 167 share the same mountains — the route page has all three measured, and the 226 keeps 90% of the climbing while cutting 83 km of flat interior.
2. Watch for the announcement in the last days of September. The 2026 on-sale was announced on 2 October for a 7 October opening.
3. Have the payment method ready on the day. In 2025 the places went in seconds.
4. If you miss it, do not buy a bib privately. The marketplace is the only transfer channel the organiser recognises; anything else is a bib you cannot start on.
5. Book the accommodation independently of the entry. Race weekend fills Platja de Muro, and a refundable room near the start is worth holding while your entry is still uncertain.
